COVID-19 India Updates: The number of confirmed cases has reached to 1 lakh 19 thousand and 521

The number of confirmed cases has reached 1 lakh 19 thousand 521. 73% of cases are in just 5 states while the virus has reached 26 states and 7 union territories. Over 41,000 cases are from Maharashtra. The Home Ministry has granted permission of Overseas Citizen to come to India with certain terms and conditions.

On Friday, the number of confirmed cases found are; Delhi – 660, Rajasthan – 150, Karnataka – 105, Odisha – 86, Andhra Pradesh – 62, Jharkhand – 5, Chattisgarh – 4 and Assam – 2. Over 66,000 people are under treatment, 45,000+ people have recovered and 3583 have died from this virus.

The situation of top 5 states and 1 Union Territories in no particular order:

1) Maharashtra: Total number of cases is 41,642. Only Mumbai has 25,000+ cases which accounts for 61% of total cases of Maharashtra and 22% of the country. The today death toll has reached 64 including 41 from Mumbai. The maximum number of deaths have occurred in Mumbai,i.e., 882 and the death toll of state has reached 1454.

2) Madhya Pradesh: Total number of cases is 5,981. 1391 fever clinics have been started in the state where 42,000+ have been tested. over 30,000 people were advised for home isolation and 6050 samples were collected for the testing

3) Uttar Pradesh: Total number of cases is 4,605. On Monday, 9,114 samples were tested. Only 141 were found positive. 2,783 patients have recovered in the state. 118 have died due to this virus. Total 2173 active cases are in the state whereas 3204 patients have been recovered. The death toll has reached 138 in the state.

4) Rajasthan: Total number of cases is 6,377. On Friday, 150 new cases have been reported in a different location like in Dungarpur – 17, Jaipur – 13, Jodhpur – 18, Udaipur – 12, Bhilwara-4, Barmer- 14, Kota – 17 and Rajasmand – 1, Baswada – 2, Jaisalmer – 1, Nagore – 3, Bikaner – 1, Dausa – 1, Jalore – 5, Sikar – 5, Ajmer – 6, Jhunjhunu – 6, Sirohi – 9. 152 deaths have been reported in the state. The toll of total positive cases has reached 6281.

5) Bihar: Total number of cases are 1987 including 1000 migrant labour. 211 patients were recorded in the last 24 hours. This is the first time that the number of new cases has exceeded 200.

6) Delhi: Total number of cases is 12,319. As of Friday, 660 cases were reported positive, 330 have been recovered while 14 have died. The death under mysterious circumstances will not be counted under the death toll of COVID-19
