December 25 is celebrated as Good Governance Day

Every year on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee, ‘Good Governance Day’ is celebrated in India. This day is entirely dedicated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a talented personality. He made India famous in many fields. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced to celebrate ‘Good Governance Day’ on December 25 every year in honour of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.


The Government of India has announced that Good Governance Day should be observed on 25th December every year. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee should be paid tribute from work. On this day, the work of Atal Bihari Vajpayee is commemorated. Also, seminars and programs are organized in many places. Through it, the personality and deeds of Atal Bihari Vajpayee are introduced.


Atal Bihari Vajpayee: A lively politician


Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He became the Prime Minister of India three times. He became the Prime Minister for the first time in 1996 and for the second time in 1998-99. On October 13, 1999, he became Prime Minister for the third time. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first leader to address the United Nations in Hindi. He loved Hindi very much. On March 27, 2015, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna. He passed away on 16 August 2018. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was known as a lively politician, a gentle-minded poet, a service-minded man, a gentle Hindutva supporter. Despite leaning towards pro-Hindu stance, Vajpayee always took the side of secularism. That is why he was called ‘Right Man in Wrong Party’.

Allocation of Prime Minister’s Kisan Sanman Fund today


The Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi will be distributed today on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. At noon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with 9 crore farmers in the country. The online program will launch a scheme to deposit Rs 18,000 crore directly in bank accounts of 9 crore farmer-beneficiaries at the push of a button.
