UP govt announced to give jobs to migrant labourers

On Sunday The Uttar Pradesh government has announced to provide jobs for more than half-million migrants laborers who were forced to return to their native state during the lockdown in a video conferencing meeting. During the meeting held in Lucknow the CM Adityanath issue some important directives for the constitution of a high-level committee headed by UP agricultural production commissioner (APC) to make blueprint regarding this.

This committee will also include the main secretaries of rural development, Panchayati Raj, skill development and micro, small and medium enterprises. UP additional Cheif Secretary Awanish Kumar told to media “This committee will create local level jobs under state’s scheme ‘One District, One Product'(ODOP) and provide credit facility through bank loan meals in the state”. He said that this committee would provide employment opportunities in other sectors and industries after lockdown.

Therefore Adityanath has taken the responsibility of the loss of tens of thousands of other daily earners, including street vendors, hawkers, kiosk owners, etc owing to the 45-day lockdown. He has instructed officers to prepare an action plan for them so that they can be provided relief.

UP medical health and family welfare principal secretary Amit Mohan Prasad said The Corona cases in UP have reported total positive patients are 1,084 of which 108 patients were recovered and 17 persons died during medical treatment.

Mohan further said that the state government had received testing kits from the central government which is being used for an emergency purpose, not for regular sample testing. UP has already started using the rapid testing kits in Noida.

The CM Yogi Adityanath holds a video conferencing meeting with the senior authority and police officials, DM, SP for the purpose to extend the lockdown of selected areas from Monday.
