Pulwama attack left the whole country outraged and saddened every citizen of India. In this critical atmosphere of the nation, everyone is putting forward their opinions. Everyone is speaking the language of revenge. Many Bollywood celebrities and famous personalities are extending their help to the family of martyrs.
After Pulwama attack, Shabana Azmi canceled her event in Karachi which she was supposed to attend with her husband Javed Akhtar. That event was a literary event on her father Kaifi Azmi. They canceled their going as a protest against Pulwama attack.
Shabana Azmi tweeted about canceling this cultural exchange event between India and Pakistan. In her tweet, Shabana Azmi said that she is with the families of martyrs and there is no way that she will go to that event.
Many people praised her decision of canceling this event but Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut called Shabana Azmi ‘anti-nationalist’ for accepting that invitation.
She said that people like Shabana Azmi promote the idea of division of India and splitting people. Such people promote the “Bharat tere tukde honge” type ideas. Actress Kangana feels that they shouldn’t have organized an event in Pakistan because anyway, we have already banned Pakistani artists after Uri attacks.
According to Kangana, Bollywood is full of anti-nationalist people and they boost the morale of our enemies. “We should focus on defensive measures. Instead of banning Pakistan, we should think about destruction” Kangana added.
The veteran actress Shabana Azmi replied calmly to Kangana Ranaut’s statement. She thinks that attacking her personally with statements won’t help this country to heal from whatever has happened. May God Bless Kangana.
As a sign of protest, Kangana canceled her success party of Manikarnika. She said that Pakistan has violated our security and attacked our dignity. Manikarnika, the film based upon the Queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai received a very good response at the box office and the total collection till the third week was 90 Crores. It is still adding.
Kangana is getting involved in so many controversies lately. Sometimes those controversies are baseless and sometimes has a solid base. She will be directing her own biopic soon.
