The second dose of vaccine will be inoculated to health workers from February 13

Health workers will be given the second dose of Corona vaccine in the country from 13 February. So far, the first dose of vaccine has been given to more than 56 lakh people. The Center asked the States and Union Territories to expedite vaccination.

The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said on Saturday that the second dose of anti-corona vaccine will be started to be given to health workers from February 13. The Health Ministry said that all the states and union territories have been asked to expedite the vaccination campaign. Health workers have been asked to complete the first dose of vaccine by 20 February and frontline workers by 6 March. The second dose of vaccine will start on 13 February.

Actually, there should be a difference of at least 28 days between the first and second dose doses. The vaccination campaign in the country started on 16 January. Health workers were vaccinated in the first phase. Frontline workers are being given their first dose of vaccine since the first week of February.

Till date, the first dose of vaccine has been given to 56 lakh people

So far, the first dose of vaccine has been inoculated to more than 56 lakh people in the vaccination campaign against Covid-19. No cases of serious or very serious adverse effects have been reported so far. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Saturday.

According to the information, 56,36,868 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far. This includes 52,66,175 health workers and 3,70,693 frontline workers. The Union Health Ministry said that 54.7 percent of health workers registered on the Co-Win app have been vaccinated so far.

Union Health Ministry spokesman Agnani said that 2.20 lakh beneficiaries were vaccinated on Saturday. No cases of serious adverse effects have been reported so far. During the last 24 hours, after vaccination, neither one has been required to be admitted to the hospital nor has anyone died. He said that on Saturday, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan reviewed the vaccination campaign. Bhushan has asked all states and union territories to expedite vaccination. For this, states have been asked to increase the number of vaccine centres. Rajesh Bhushan also said that the second version of the online platform Co-Win will be released soon.
