Human trial of the country’s first corona vaccine has started. 375 people have been included in the first round of trial. The process of human trial of the Bharat Biotech vaccine started on 15 July. Trials are being conducted in 12 major hospitals in the country. Some people involved in the trial will be given the vaccine and some people will be given normal treatment, a comparison will show how effective the vaccine is. First phase trial started in 12 hospitals
ICMR has selected 12 hospitals in the country for vaccine trials. These include AIIMS-Delhi, AIIMS Patna, King George Hospital-Visakhapatnam, PGI-Rohtak, Jeevan Rekha Hospital-Belagam, Gilurkar Multispeciality Hospital-Nagpur, Rana Hospital-Gorakhpur, SRM Hospital-Chennai, Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences-Hyderabad, Kalinga Hospital – Bhubaneswar, Prakhar Hospital – Kanpur and a hospital in Goa are also included.
