PM Modi’s meeting with Chief Ministers at uncontrollable pace of Corona in the country, Mamata will not come this time too!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Chief Ministers of all states today to discuss the situation of the ongoing Covid pandemic in India. The new wave of coronavirus will be discussed in this meeting to be held through video conferencing. Apart from this, a vaccination campaign will also be talked about. According to sources, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee will not attend this meeting. On her behalf, Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay will be attending the meeting with PM Modi.

PM Modi’s last discussion with the Chief Ministers was held on 17 March on the issue of the epidemic. The Prime Minister had expressed serious concern over the increasing cases in some states and asked for quick and decisive steps to stop the second wave. Earlier, PM Modi had also suggested a five-point formula in a high-level meeting held with senior officials, which called for an investigation, identification of people exposed to infected, treatment, strict adherence to Covid rules and vaccination.

This has happened for the second time in three days when more than one lakh cases of Covid-19 infection have been reported in a day. According to the data released by the ministry on Wednesday, the number of under-treated patients has also increased to 8,43,473, which is 6.59 percent of the total infection cases due to increase in infection cases for the 28th consecutive day in the country. At the same time, the rate of recovery of people has also fallen to 92.11 percent. According to the data, 1,17,92,135 people have been cured of the infection so far, while the death rate has fallen to 1.30 percent.
