Physical court to start soon; hearing may begin next week in two or three court rooms of the Supreme Court

Hearing can start in two or three courtrooms in the Supreme Court next week, i.e., judges will be present in these courtrooms. Most cases are still being heard in a virtual manner due to the epidemic. CJI Sharad Arvind Bobde took the initiative for hearing in Physical Courts. There was an important meeting on Tuesday in this matter.

A bench of seven judges considered

A bench of seven judges was set up by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to consider starting a physical court. It met on Tuesday. Some other issues were also considered in this. The Supreme Court Advocates on Records Association (SCAORA) gave this information on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the committee of judges is seriously considering that there should be a hearing in 2 or 3 courtrooms from next week. For this, the registry is making necessary preparations. The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the Bar Council of India.

Demands of lawyers

SCAORA President Shivaji Jadhav and SCBA President Dushyant Dave appealed to the seven-member judge committee that physical courtrooms should be started soon. Medical experts can be consulted for this. It is also necessary to take this advice in the wake of the epidemic. It was considered that virtual courts should also be continued, but physical courtrooms should also start with this. It will be beneficial for people as they will have both options.

The final decision in a day or two

It is believed that the list of cases for the final hearing before the lockdown was issued, will be heard in the physical courts first. However, the final decision will be taken by a committee of seven judges after considering all aspects in a day or two. Due to the epidemic, hearing is being done in virtual courts instead of physical courts.
