Pakistani diplomat Maleeha Lodhi responds to Sushma Swaraj Speech in UN general assembly , portrays PM Modi as fascist

Pakistani diplomat Maleeha Lodhi responds to Sushma Swaraj

Pakistani diplomat Maleeha Lodhi brought up Kashmir at the UN, in reply to Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s statement a day earlier. The statement was about its neighbour being “the greatest exporter of disaster, death and cruelty“.

Swaraj, in her discussion at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly on Saturday, supposed PM Narendra Modi had extended a friendly hand to Pakistan, but they did not share this. She supposed that as India engages in struggling poverty, Pakistan “seems only busy in fighting us”.

On Saturday, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative Maleeha Lodhi alleged that “Much of what is in the air in India at present is a pure terror, in Kashmir, in other places.”

Probing into Indian politics, Maleeha Lodhi also rented the standard lines of a section of Indian secularists. It portrays PM Narendra Modi and his management as “fascist” and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath as a “fanatic”.

Generally, a junior or mid-level envoy delivers the replies.  However, in a sign of how much it considers the bang of Swaraj’s dialogue, Pakistan took the unusual step of sending its enduring representative, to work out its right of reply. She is one of the senior-most bureaucrats in its diplomatic corps.

In her meeting previously Sushma Swaraj supposed Pakistan was only interested in fighting India and supporting state terrorism.

Maleeha Lodhi repeats the secularist stroke in India that “a racist and fascist belief is resolutely embedded in Modi’s government.  Its management draws from the RSS, i.e. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was accuse of killing Mahatma Gandhi”.

She criticises Adityanath’s election to head UP, saying “the government has chosen a fanatic as the CM  of India’s largest state”. Lodhi added that  “It is a government, which has permitted the lynching of Muslims” Maleeha Lodhi said.

She went on to a quotation from Roy’s November 2015 speech. She said “These horrifying murders are only an indication. Life is hell for the living too. Entire populations of Adivasis,  Dalits, Muslims, and Christians are obligatory to live in terror. They are Uncertain of at what time and from where the attack would come.”

Maleeha Lodhi took picky objection to  Sushma Swaraj surveillance concerning Pakistan founder, Mohammed Ali Jinnah, who, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had said, bestows a foreign policy based on harmony and friendship.

Swaraj assumed it “remains to unlock to query whether Jinnah Sahab indeed advocated such principles.”

Maleeha Lodhi supposed Pakistan continued open to resuming an inclusive dialogue with India, but it should comprise Kashmir. In the end, she argues was a “crusade of subversion and state-sponsores terrorism”.
