Horrific situation due to Covid in 10 states of the country, most deaths in Maharashtra

The second wave of Corona has created a furor in the country. New cases of corona infection are setting new records every day. With 3,46,786 new cases of corona infection reported in the country in a single day, the number of infected people has risen to 1,66,10,481 while the number of under-treated patients has exceeded 2.5 million. Not only this, the number of casualties has increased to 1,89,544 with 2,624 infected deaths a day. According to the Union Health Ministry, the situation is very bad in 10 states of the country.

These 12 states raised concern 

According to official data released by the ministry, 12 states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Bihar and West Bengal are witnessing an increase in daily cases of infection. 

74.15 percent of cases in these states 

The Union Health Ministry on Saturday said that 74.15 percent of the total cases of infection in the country are from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Not only this, 66.66 percent of the patients undergoing treatment are from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Kerala.

… and the fall recovery rate 

Worryingly, the recovery rate against infection has fallen further. At present it is 83.49 percent. So far 1,38,67,997 people have been infection-free in the country. The worsening situation due to corona infection in the country can be gauged from the fact that there has been a shortage of beds for serious patients in hospitals. 

Highest deaths in Maharashtra  

The situation has worsened due to a corona infection in Maharashtra. In the last 24 hours, the highest number of 773 people in Maharashtra died due to corona infection. This was followed by 348 deaths in Delhi, 219 in Chhattisgarh, 196 in UP, 142 in Gujarat, 190 in Karnataka, 78 in Tamil Nadu and 75 in Punjab due to the Corona epidemic. So far, Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths of 63,252 people in the country.

14,075 deaths so far in Karnataka 

The pandemic has killed 14,075 in Karnataka, 13,395 in Tamil Nadu, 13,541 in Delhi, 10,825 in West Bengal, 10,737 in Uttar Pradesh, 8,264 in Punjab and 7,579 in Andhra Pradesh. The process of vaccination has also got a pace. So far, more than 13.83 crore doses of Covid Vaccine have been given in the country.

Delhi worst affected

In the national capital Delhi too, the situation is very bad due to the Corona crisis. Many hospitals in Delhi are facing an oxygen shortage. Patients are dying due to a lack of oxygen. In Jaipur Golden Hospital, Delhi, 20 patients are reported to have died due to lack of oxygen.
