Four cryogenic oxygen containers have arrived in India at Panagarh airbase in West Bengal from Singapore

The Indian Air Force has brought four cryogenic containers from Singapore for the storage of liquid oxygen. These containers were airlifted from Singapore by an Air Force C-17 aircraft. Officials said the aircraft, carrying four cryogenic oxygen containers, landed at Panagarh airbase in West Bengal at around 4:30 pm.

India is battling a second wave of coronavirus infection and many states are suffering from a shortage of medical oxygen and beds amid a growing number of Covid-19 cases. Since Friday, the Indian Air Force is delivering empty oxygen tankers and containers by air to various filling stations across the country to speed the delivery of much-needed medical oxygen in the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

The Air Force, which came to India via C-17 aircraft, is also transporting essential medicines as well as equipment needed for Covid-19 hospitals in different parts of the country. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s office had earlier tweeted that the Indian Air Force is operating flights to reduce the transportation time for supplies of oxygen and other important things. A C-17 aircraft has arrived at Changi Airport in Singapore today. These containers of cryogenic oxygen tanks will help in increasing the supply of oxygen in the country.

In most states, there is a lack of oxygen 

After the increase in cases of coronavirus, the demand for oxygen has increased in the whole country. Many states, including the capital Delhi, have approached the Center to deliver oxygen on time. The Oxygen Express is also running on Indian Railways to deliver oxygen to hospitals on time. Apart from this, oxygen tankers are also being sent from one place to another with the help of the army.
