Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, clinical trials of seven more vaccines are going on in the country, few reached advanced stage

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Tuesday that a clinical trial of seven more vaccines against the Covid-19 is going on in the country. He said this after taking a second dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine at Delhi Heart and Lung Institute. And had taken the first dose on March 2.

Harshvardhan said that trials of the seven Covid vaccines have reached an advanced stage. Apart from these, more than two dozen vaccines are currently in the pre-clinical trial phase. He said that no infection has been found in the last 28 days in 430 districts of the country.

No one should neglect the Covid-19 safety measures: Harshvardhan

The Union Minister said that the situation is under control, but we do not have to show negligence regarding the rules of Covid-19. He said that both the vaccines manufactured in the country are completely safe and effective. There is no need to pay attention to the rumours spread/shared on WhatsApp.

Covid-19 cases are increasing rapidly in the country

On the other hand, another wave of Covid-19 infection is being seen in the country. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the total number of positive cases has increased to 1,20,95,855 in India, after the detecting of 56,211 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. During this period, after 271 new deaths, the total number of deaths tally reached 1,62,114. The total number of active cases in the country is 5,40,720, while 1,13,93,021 people have been recovered from the infection.

Significantly, vaccination is also carried out in large number amid the rising Covid-19 cases in the country. The Covid-19 vaccination is made available at private and government hospitals in the country.
