Covid Vaccine: From April 28, those above 18 years of age will be able to register for vaccination, know the whole process

Registration under for the third phase of the Covid Vaccination Campaign will begin on Wednesday, April 28, on the CoWin Platform and Arogya Setu App for people of 18 years and more. After this, qualified people can register themselves by visiting the CoWin portal. In order to prevent Covid infection, doses from 1 May to 18 years of age will be given for vaccination. 

MyGovIndia tweeted, “Don’t get misguided by rumours/news stating that registration for vaccination of 18+ citizens to start from 24th April 2021! The registrations will start on the #CoWIN platform and Aarogya Setu App from 28th April 2021 onwards. Stay informed, stay safe! #IndiaFightsCorona”

Until now, only those over the age of 45 were allowed to be vaccinated. Every day new cases of infection in the country hit by the second wave of epidemics are setting a record of statistics. The number of new cases has crossed 3 lakh on Thursday. People have to register online for the first dose of vaccine before going to the hospital. 

MyGovIndia tweeted that the third phase of vaccination will begin from May 1, for which the registration process is being started on the Arogya Setu app and the CoWin platform. There is no app for the CoWin site and registration can only be done through the website. 

Here’s how to register- 

– Click Register / Sign in on CoWin portal or Arogya Setu App 

– Enter the mobile number or Aadhaar number 

-Then you will receive 10 digits OTP 

– Type the OTP on the site and click ‘Verify’ 

– Enter all the details sought and click on the register  

After this, the option of schedule will come, after which the registration process will be completed. 

After this, the user will get a Reference ID through which a person will get the Vaccination Certificate. Currently, two vaccines are being given as Covaxin and Covishield as part of the Vaccination Campaign.
