Zee Cine Awards 2019 was held in Mumbai and many famous Bollywood celebrities were present for the same. The show was hosted by Kartik Aryaan and Vicky Kaushal. Many moments happened on the stage like Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s romantic dance on Ishq Wala love to Deepika and Ranveer’s marriage pheres.
Many celebrities like Malaika Arora, Arbaaz Khan with his girlfriend, Dia Mirza, Varun Dhawan, Chitrangada Sen, Kubbra Sait, Radhika Madan, Kiara Advani, Pooja Hedge, Karan Johar marked their presence at this award function. It can be said that the evening was star-studded.
One of the highest grossing film Padmaavat’s directors Sanjay Leela Bhansali bagged the best director award for Padmaavat. Ranbir Kapoor won the best actor award for his stunning performance in Sanju while Deepika received the best actress award for the movie Padmaavat. Ranveer Singh achieved the viewers’ choice award. Katrina Kaif bagged the award in the category best-supporting actress while the male who the award under this category is Vicky Kaushal. Kartik Aryaan got the award for best actor in a comic role.
Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter who were seen in Dhadak which is the remake of Marathi movie Sairat got the best debut awards for their brilliant skills. Andhadhun stars Ayushman Khurana and Tabu won the special award and Best Actor in negative role respectively.
Dreamgirl of Bollywood and the legendary actress, Hema Malini received the award for extraordinary contribution to the Indian Cinema. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja got the recognition as an extraordinary icon for social change.

Nominations at Zee Cine Awards:
- Veere di Wedding actresses Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Kareena Kapoor Khan were nominees for best actress. Alia Bhatt has been nominated for Raazi, Anushka Sharma for Sui Dhaga and Tapsee Pannu for the film Mulk.
- For male category, Ranveer Singh has received two nominations in the Best Male Actor category his films Simmba and Padmavaat. Also, Varun Dhawan was nominated for Sui Dhaga. Ayushmann Khurrana for nominated Andhadhun and Kartik Aaryan for Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
