Young Spearhead Kamlesh Nagarkoti makes comeback to Indian Team

Amateur pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti returns to the Indian Team and will commence playing from the upcoming Emerging Asia Cup. Nagarkoti is returning from a 19-month injury gap.

He is one of the most talked about players ever since the 2018 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup and is believed to be the next big thing in the Indian Cricket Team. His ability to bowl consistently with a pace of over 150 makes him special from the rest of Indian pacers. But all of this will be taken into account if the 19-year old would be fit and available for selection.

Nagarkoti is very injury prone as ever since the U19 World Cup, he has been selected in two editions of the Indian Premier League. However, he could not play even a single match because of his various injury concerns.

Recently, the fast bowling all-rounder underwent rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru where he was constantly monitored by the experts. The reason behind this was his fracture lower back, heel and ankle.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti made his List A career debut for Rajasthan on February 26, 2017 and just days later, he picked up the first ever hat-trick for Rajasthan in this format. Apart from his bowling, Nagarkoti is a handy player with the bat as well. This makes him even more special as the Indian Team is always in search of an option for fast bowling all-rounder.

He has also featured in a few Vijay Hazare Trophy matches last year before he was ruled out because of multiple injuries. But he has been declared fit and is ready to join the team and his next assignment will the Emerging Asia Cup which is scheduled to be held in Bangladesh in November.
