The famous Twilight superstar Robert Pattinson, who has mostly worked with indie directors in his career post the Twilight series, said that his portrayal of Bruce Wayne aka batman will be just as “crazy and perverse” as the roles he had played in the past. He had been in headlines during his audition and test for the Batman suit.
Besides The Batman, Pattinson will be seen in another movie ‘tenet’, under the Warner Bros banner. “Out of all the big roles that I knew of in that kind of realm, there was just something about this one,” Pattinson said.
Twilight fame Robert Pattinson had been on a long term break after the successful Twilight series. As for Superhero movies or movies under DC, Robert had earlier said that he was not too sure about the roles. “You can see quite a lot of examples of it not really working out for people, so I just thought it would be a silly idea to try to do a massive action movie or something,” Pattinson said.
“I always think that whatever movie you’re doing, there’s a potential that it’s the last movie you’re ever going to get, and so I don’t want to end my career on a ‘transitional’ movie.”
He feared that he might not be the correct choice for Batman, while he was auditioning for the Batman suit. The franchise fans might have been confused with the role of Batman, but later the reaction was a mixed one.
Last May, word got out that the Batman would be played by the Twilight actor, who won the role over actor Nicholas Hoult. Pattinson said he was “absolutely relieved” when he learned he’d been cast. Coincidentally, he was on the set of “Tenet,” a movie directed by Christopher Nolan, the filmmaker behind the acclaimed Dark Knight trilogy, when he heard the news.
Warner Bros. will release Tenet on July 17, 2020 and The most awaited The Batman on June 25, 2021
