NTA NEET 2020 Admit Card Not Releasing Today, Check Updates Here

NEET admit card 2020 release date has been extended by the NTA (National Testing Agency) due to the spread of novel coronavirus in India. The new dates of the NEET (UG) admit card 2020 will be announced after April 14, 2020 (after the 21-day period of the lockdown). The medical aspirant who applied for NTA National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020 are advised to keep a track on the NTA official website; ntaneet.nic.in.

About 15,93,452 lakh candidates have applied for the NEET exam, with around 33,357 candidates are from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). Many central and state board examinations have been postponed as well. The move has been taken as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus, cases of which crossed 700 mark.

How to Download the NEET 2020 Admit Card?

The candidates can download the admit card of NEET 2020 online by following the below steps.

  1. Visit the NTA official website: ntaneet.nic.in
  2. Click on “NEET admit card 2020”
  3. Enter date of birth, application number and the security pin
  4. Click on “Submit”
  5. NEET admit card will appear on the screen

About NEET (UG) Exam 2020

The NEET Undergraduate (UG) is a 3 hours’ examination with objective type questions and OMR-based. The question paper consists of three sections – physics, biology and chemistry. The paper will have 45 questions each in the Chemistry and Physics sections. For the Biology part, there will be 45 questions covering topics from Zoology, and 45 questions covering Botany.

The NEET 2020 examination will be held in the afternoon session, from 2 pm to 5 pm. Each question will carry 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

NEET exam is applicable for medical aspirants seeking admission to JIPMER and AIIMS.  The rank of the NEET-UG shortlists the students for admission to their prestigious medical institutions. The exam is also held for admission to undergraduate dental, medical, and Aayush programmes.

Earlier, NTA had to postpone JEE Main exam in view of the rising coronavirus cases in India. The exam was scheduled in April. Now, all the competitive exam dates will be announced only after April 15, that is after the 21-day period of the lockdown and situation is reviewed again.
