IPL 2019: Rajasthan Royals Five Key Players

Rajasthan Royals are known for grooming young talent and punching above their weight in the IPL. The franchise made some smart decisions at the auction table which has resulted in creation of a balanced and strong squad that features some exciting players from across the world.

Here we discuss Rajasthan Royals five key players in IPL 2019

Table of Contents

#5. Rahul Tripathi-

The young batsman set the IPL on fire by his impressive batting in 2017 but had a below par performance in the 2018 season. However he was in fine form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament and hence a lot can be expected from him in 2019.

Rajasthan will most probably use Tripathi as a finisher which ofcourse deprives him of the opportunities of Powerplay overs but it will also give him the licence to go all guns blazing.

#4. Ashton Turner-

After the fourth ODI between India and Australia, everyone has got an introduction of Ashton Turner and his batting prowess. He was one of the talking points of BPL and will be an exciting prospect to watch in IPL too.

But will he get a chance to feature in the playing XI? There is a stiff competition but given Turner’s form he should be drafted in the team and he can make a big difference.

#3. Sanju Samson-

One of the most promising talents from India, Samson has made his name in IPL but he knows that he needs to create a massive impact to get a place in India’s national team.

Samson will be Royals’ key player in the middle overs and it will be interesting to see how he approaches his innings.

#2. Ben Stokes-

The England all-rounder was the man of the tournament in 2017 and that reflects the impact he can have on the game. Stokes has the ability to win three or four games single handedly for Rajasthan and most importantly he has the courage to bring the best in pressure situations.

#1. Jos Buter-

Butler will be Rajasthan’s biggest weapon in this year’s IPL. He was unstoppable at the top of the order in 2018 and this year too he will have the responsibility of giving Rajasthan a solid start.

Butler can rip apart any bowling line-up and the Powerplay overs give him the chance to maximize the damage.
