Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the finest actors who have created his own space in Hindi cinema. He has done unconventional films and made an impact on the audience. In his whole Bollywood journey of seven years, he has never worked with Amitabh Bachchan. But now, in Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming directorial Gulabo Sitabo, he will be sharing the screen with Big B for the first time.
In an interview, when he was asked if he was excited or nervous to work with the megastar for the first time, he said, “Both, it’s like mixed feelings. I have butterflies in my stomach. I don’t know how will I feel when I face Mr Bachchan for the first time on screen together. And I am excited as Shoojit Sircar and Juhi Chaturvedi (screenwriter) are coming together with him after Piku. It is a dream team.”
In May of 2019, Khurana had taken to his Instagram handle to share a photo with his director saying, “@amitabhbachchan sir aur Meri Jodi, ekdum #GulaboSitabo si hogi. Really excited to be a part of this project by my mentor @shoojitsircar! In cinemas this November.”
The director of Gulabo Sitabo told media that he was excited to work with Mr Bachchan and Ayushmann after Piku and the Vicky Donor. He wanted them to work together for many days.
Right now, Ayushmann Khurrana is busy in promotions of his upcoming film Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15. Article 15 promises to be different than other Bollywood films. Ayushmann will be seen in the role of a cop. He also has Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Dream Girl and Bala on the list of his upcoming movies. On the other hand, Mr Bachchan will be seen in Brahmastra, which also features Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
According to reports, Gulabo Sitabo had to release in November this year, but recently, the filmmakers shifted their date to April 24, 2020. We are excited to see Ayushmann and Amitabh Bachchan on screen.
