More than 50 lakh people downloaded Battlegrounds Mobile India in just two days

Battlegrounds Mobile India has crossed 50 lakh downloads in its early access phase, which is available to download throughout the country. South Korean developer Krafton has shared the achievement with a bounty to thank the Indian players via an in-game notification. The game was available to download in open beta to some testers on June 17th and opened to all on June 18th. It has already crossed 50 lakh downloads. Battleground Mobile India is the Indian version of PUBG Mobile which was banned in the country in September last year.

Krafton has given each Battlegrounds Mobile India player a Classic Crate Coupon, thanking them for 50 lakh downloads. A ‘5M Download Gift’ notification appears on the in-game event screen that says, “Thank you India! Celebrating 5 million downloads, we send our thanks with this extra gift! Please enjoy!” This notification rewards player with a free coupon that they can use to open a classic crate and receive random rewards. It’s only been two days since the game became available for download and the first day was only for beta testers.

Krafton opened beta testing to a limited number of users on June 17th, and slots were filled almost immediately. You can check out our first impressions about the game. Later he announced that the Early Access build is now available to everyone and more slots have been made available in the beta program. Players who join during the Early Access phase receive a Supply Crate Coupon, two EXP cards, and a 2x BP card.

It is no surprise that so many players jump into the game all at once. Actually, after the ban of PUBG Mobile, its fans were very disappointed, and ever since Battlegrounds Mobile India was announced, gamers were eagerly waiting for it. It is quite natural to get such a response after waiting for 9 months. Earlier last month, Battlegrounds Mobile India started pre-registration on the Google Play Store. This 2 crore pre-registration by the first week of this month. The 50 lakh downloads mark is like the first milestone for this game. As of now, this game is not available on iOS devices.
