Vidya Balan Supports Ban on Pakistani Actors in India, Says ‘Enough is Enough’

The All India Cine Workers Association have given a decision about banning Pakistani artists in India. They stated their decision as “We’re authoritatively stating that Pakistani Actors and Artists are not allowed to work in the Indian Film Industry. If any firm continues to work with any Pakistani Artists will be banned by us and a strong deed will be taken against them.”

The film division of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had called on a ban on Pakistani artists collaborating with music producers in India. Amey Khopkar, the head of MNS Chitrapat Sena told that they talked to Indian music companies like T-Series, Sony Music, Venus and Tips Music to stop working with Pakistani singers. These companies should stop to work with them, or MNS will take an action in their own style.

T-series has also unlisted songs by Pakistani artists from its YouTube channel.

Hindi film industry is supporting the Pulwama terror attack victims in every possible way. Many have donated money to martyr’s families. They have cancelled film distributing contracts with Pakistani Film Distributors keeping Pulwama attack in mind. In light of this event, Vidya Balan spoke her heart about banning Pakistani artists in India.

Vidya says, “I have always thought that art should be kept away from all internal issues and politics. But now I think we have to take a stand. Enough is enough,” Vidya talked to media about this issue while launching her debut radio show “Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho.”

When she was asked art and politics, she said that she feels all the arts like music, poetry, dance, theatre, cinema or any other art form brings people of different as well same culture together than any other way. But now she thinks that we should stop this mindset and decide what can be done for the future. Some tough calls need to be taken in such a difficult time of country.”

Though it’s official that Pakistani actors and artists are not allowed to work in India but still the ban of Pakistani artist is being debatable in the country because some people think that it is not good to boycott artists.
