Everyone expresses their feelings and opinions on the micro-blogging platform called Twitter and so does Bollywood celebrities. Recently, a 45-year old actor, Uday Chopra disturbed his fans and followers on twitter with his depression and suicide tweets. After reading both the tweets, all his followers started commenting with positive words and mental health knowledge. Later, the actor deleted both the tweets and said that both the tweets were the part of his dark humour and people misunderstood it.

His first “Confession: I am not ok! I am trying but so far I am failing!”. Another tweet was “I deactivated my Twitter account. It felt as close to death as it could get. Was phenomenal! I think this is a good option for suicide. I might be doing it permanently.”

Uday Chopra’s Clarification Tweet :

Even after deleting both the tweets, screenshots of them are still on the internet and social media. Uday Chopra thanked everyone for concern and admitted that he is okay. It was just a part of his dark humour.

One of his fans replied his clarification tweet with, “Sir, please don’t do it again. I don’t think anyone saw it as humorous in any shade of grey. It shakes us as fans and as humans to see fellow people under chronic stress. Hope you stay fit, hale and hearty for long. Wish to see you on the big screen again soon,”

Uday was last seen in 2013 as Ali in the third instalment of the “Dhoom” franchise”. He made his acting debut in 2000 in the Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai starrer movie “Mohabbatein.” He was later seen in  Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai”, “Mujhse Dosti Karoge!”, “Dhoom”, “Neal ‘n’ Nikki” and “Pyaar Impossible”. His filmy career was limited and nowadays he has vanished from the industry. So fans thought that might be the reason behind his tweets. Both the tweets worried fans because Bollywood celebrities like Jiyah Khan, Pratushya Banerjee, Guru Dutt have committed suicide. Fans thought Uday Chopra is going through an existential crisis and hence encouraged him in the comment section.
