It’s the time for some dystopic and tragic plots. And there is one coming straight from Hulu, The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4. This Hulu original is created by Bruce Miller and aired its first season in April 2017. The series gained instant recognition by bagging ten Primetime Emmy Awards out of thirteen nominations for its first season. 

Release Date: The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4

On 26 July 2019, Hulu announced the fourth season of The Handmaid’s Tale. Hulu will release three episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 on 28 April 2021. 

The fourth installment, unlike the first three seasons, will have only ten episodes. The trailer teased some really thrilling and tense scenes featuring Gilead without June.

Cast: The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4

The fourth season will include some new faces including the main cast. Those who will be returning in the next season are Elisabeth Moss, Madeline Brewer, Alexis Bledel, and Sam Jaeger. Except for them Bradley Withford, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Samira Wiley, and Amanda Brugel will be coming back as the main characters.

As for the new faces coming along in The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4, here is what we have got. Zawe Ashton will be playing the role of an aid worker and Moira’s girlfriend. Another intimidating role will be played by McKenna Grace as a teenage wife of an elderly Commander. Reed Birney will also be there in The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4.

Plot: The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4

We saw June in a tarnished physical state, yet free of Gilead. The upcoming season will be something unexpected as described by the writer. June will be in newly found surroundings with a fresh mindset. Except for Gilead, Toronto will also be a major part of season 4 with all those children safely sent to Canada. While Nick will get a fair share of screentime in season 4. So be prepared to know more about him and his relationship with June.

Storyline: The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4

The Handmaid’s Tale revolves around a woman named June in the post-Civil War period. June once married, was separated from her husband and daughter while escaping to Canada. She is forced to be a housemaid due to the adultery she and her husband committed and her fertility. We follow her throughout her turmoil in which she longs to reunite with her family.

If you connect, then The Handmaid’s Tale is similar to one of Netflix’s original. Sky Rojo that aired a month ago on Netflix is worth a watch if you are a fan of The Handmaid’s Tale.
