“The Gift” is a Turkish mystery, thriller, fiction web series directed by Ozan Aciktan based on a Turkish novel “Dunyanin Uyanisi” (The Awakening of the World) by Sengul Boybas, a Turkish writer. The title given to the series in the Turkish language is “Atiye.” The Gift Season 1 premiered on 27 December 2019 broadcast by Netflix. The first season had a set of 8 episodes. After receiving positive critics and reviews from the spectators, the series got renewed for a second season.

Beren Saat plays the lead as “Atiye,” Mehmet Gunsur as Erhan, Metin Akdulgar as Ozan, Melisa Senolsun as Cansu, Basak Koklukaya as Serap, Civan Canova as Mustafa, Tim Seyfi as Serdar, Meral Cetinkaya as Zuhre, Cezmi Baskin as Oner, Fatih Al as Nazim, Hazal Turesan as Hannah, Sibel Melek as Seher, and Melisa Akman as Anima.
The plot is all the protagonist “Atiye” a charming teen who is a painter. She aims to bring light to Gobeklitepe, an excavation site and tries to discover who she’s linked with the “Gobeklitepe.” Throughout Atiye’s journey as a painter, she keeps painting the spirit of a female with a star symbol on her forehead. Atiye is from a decent family and has a caring boyfriend. She plans to run a solo exhibition with her beautiful arts.
Eran, an archaeologist, unveiled a symbol in the Earth’s prehistoric templeGobeklitepe which will change her life and links to her past. After the discovery of the logo, which relates to Atiye, she wanted to know about her history and secrets, which can change Atiye’s life.
Season 2 will entirely focus on Atiye’s transformation and discoveries.
