Salman khan spreads awareness on COVID -19 saying this is not a public holiday

Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, though being from a Bollywood background family, is a self-made superstar and is well known by the name Salman Khan. Salman born on 27th December 1965, is an Indian film actor, producer, occasional singer and a television personality. In his career in Bollywood of over two decades, Khan has received many awards, which is undoubtedly because of the quality of work he does.

He has two brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, and two sisters, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, married to actor or director Atul Agnihotri and Arpita Khan Sharma. His father Salim Khan is a screenwriter and wrote a number of screenplays, stories and scripts for Bollywood films.

He debuted his Bollywood career, as a supporting actor in the movie ‘ Biwi ho to Aisi (1988). Played the lead role in the following year in the movie ‘ Maine Pyaar Kia’. Also played the role of chocolate boy in romantic dramas like ‘ Hum aapke hain kaun..!’. And action thrillers like ‘ Karan Arjun’. Also tested his skills in comedy movies like ‘Biwi No.1’ and family dramas like ‘ Hum saath saath hain’. After a long period of decline, Khan’s career took off with the lead role in movies like ‘ Dabangg’, ‘ Ready’, ‘ Ek the tiger’, ‘ Sultan ‘ and ‘ Tiger Zinda hai’.  

Forbes listed Salman in their 2015 list of top-paid 11 celebrity entertainers in the world and he tied with the legend Amitabh Bachchan for no. 71 on the list, both with the earnings of $33.5 billion. 

In addition to his Bollywood career he promotes charity causes as well and runs a charity named ‘ Being Human ‘. He is also an influential television personality and hosts a reality show which is an Indian version of Big Brother, Big Boss. 

Taking advantage of his huge fan following on social media, he makes his fan aware of the pandemic, COVID – 19, that has become global emergency and has took thousand of life across the globe.

With an opening message he thanks the doctors, nurses, police and to the people who dedicated their time to corona, and appeals the fans cum citizen that government is talking on our welfare,  we should take this seriously and rumours must not be spread. He said, people think that they won’t suffer but the fact is they are not safe anywhere whether it is a bus or train. Moreover, he emphasised that people should not take this as public holidays. He urges people to take preventive measures like washing hands, wearing masks and practising social distancing. By this, people are not only saving their lives but of many people around them. At last, he pleaded everyone to take into consideration the restrictions imposed by the government. His fans also wished him health by commenting on his Instagram post.

He also spread awareness among people by letting out a video in which he was sketching in his quarantine period. Thereby telling them, how isolation can be innovative.
