Richa Chadha Says “There is always room for good artists in the industry”

Brilliant and critically-acclaimed actress Richa Chadha is known for badass and bold roles and statements. She is one of the self-made actors who believe in themselves and their skills. She recently said that there is always room for good artists.

Richa Chadha started her Bollywood career in 2008 with the film ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’. She impressed the audiences as well as the critics with her performance in Gangs of Wasseypur series.

According to Richa Chadha, one can never be out of work in the film industry if they have talent. She said, “There is always enough room for good actors. I have never been short of work. There has been not a single year where I have not had a release. I have always been working every year right from my debut film. Good work has a snowball effect, it keeps leading to more good work.”

Richa also talked about the audience’s mindset. Nowadays, the audience rejects bad film even if it has ‘big’ stars. The audience doesn’t follow anyone blindly. People have got their opinions and choices.

She told, “Here it could become like Hollywood, like everybody is good and have competence but only a few will manage to stay up there like Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, etc. Also, people who are famous in the digital space or are YouTubers will have their own audience and all these people will be stars.”

Richa spoke all this on the sidelines of the launch of India’s first MX4D EFX theatre. On the work front, Richa is waiting for her film ‘Shakeela’ to release. She will also be seen in Section 375 and Panga. Film Panga is about a  family which does everything together. In Panga, Richa will be seen alongside Kangana Ranaut, Jassie Gill, Pankaj Tripathi and Neena Gupta. Director Ashwini Iyer told media that the film ‘Panga’ is the most challenging film of her career because it is taking way longer than expected for shooting. Ashwini has done films like ‘Nil Battey Sannata’, ‘Bareilly ki Barfi’.  The film is shot in Mumbai.  It is said that the film will release on 24th January 2020.
