Poonam Pandey pulled over by Mumbai Police for breaking lockdown norms

Actress and model Poonam Pandey was pulled over by Marine Drive Police violating the lockdown rules. This happened on 10th May that Poonam and Sam Ahmed were caught roaming nearby Marine Drive in their car without any reason.

As stated by the senior inspector Mrityunjay Hiremath, a case has been registered against both of them under section 296: Negligent act likely to spread infection of a disease dangerous to life and section 188: Disobedience of order duly promulgated by public servant of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under the provision of the Natural Disaster Act.

Poonam born on 11th March 1991, is an Indian film actress and erotic model who has worked in Hindi and Telugu language cinema. In her modelling career, she has gained a position among the top ten contestants of the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest. Posting a number of her semi-nude photos she rose to fame and gained a lot of followers on her social media handles.

In 2011 she gained all the media lights when she promised to strip naked if the Indian cricket team wins the World Cup 2011. India won the cup but Poonam disagreed to fulfil her promise due to people disapprovals BCCI denied permission. Later she uploaded a video where she was stripping clothes at the Wankhede Stadium at night.In 2012, she posed nude when Kolkata Knigh Riders won the IPL Trophy.

She debuted in Hindi cinema with the female lead role in the movie Nasha in 2013. When people stated that she excelled in being the sedutress in the role, she clarified she played a properproper,  responsible drama teacher. The movie posters were set on fire which featured Poonam covered her body just by two playcards. That angreed the people and lead to protest. The general secretary of Shiva Sena stated -” We find these posters highly vulgur and derogatory and won’t allow such hoardings. “
