Overlord is a dark fantasy Japanese manga series written by Kugane Maruyama. It is illustrated by So-bin, which is the adaptation of the light novel by Kugane Maruyama with 14 volumes, published by Enterbrain. As of now, three seasons got aired, and the fourth season is ready to air soon. Overlord had its initial launch on July 7, 2015, following the three seasons’ release, each season consisted of 13 episodes. The English publisher of the series is Yen Press.

Release Date

Overlord Season 4 will likely release at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021. On October 2, 2018, Overlord season 3 was out, and season 4 got delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Following the pattern of the [previous seasons, each season contained 13 episodes, so season 4 is also likely to have 13 events. 

Cast

The main characters of the series are likely to return.

• Ainz Owl Gown, the main character of the series, will be voiced by Satoshi Hino, a famous voice actor, and narrator.
• “Albedo,” the main heroine of the series, the Overseer of the Floor Guardians, will be voiced by Yumi Hara, a Japanese voice actress and singer.

• Shalltear Bloodfallen, a vampire, Sumire Uesaka, a well-known Japanese voice actress and singer, will be providing vocals.
• Aura Bella Fiora, the dark elf, Yumi Uchiyama, will voice the character.

There are a lot more interesting characters like Mare Bello Fiore, Demiurge, Cocytus, Victim voiced by various voice actors and actresses. 

Plot

The production does not yet announce the official plot of the anime. We expect the plot to revolve around Ainz, the protagonist of the series. His abilities, skills, and talents are to be will be explored and shows how he can combat all his barriers forthcoming.  Ainz gets trapped in a video game, but he guarantees that he is the king there knowing his capabilities and feels more potent after the assassination of Gazef Stronoff. 

Season 4 will show how Ainz explores his utterly new world and tries to know the reason behind his trap. Overlord Season 4 will be the continuation of season 3’s plot and the adventures of the protagonist “Ainz.”
