The Haunting of the Bly Manor: Will Peter Quint’s ghost kill Mike? Who is playing Peter’s character? 

The Haunting of the Bly Manor is a second season of “The Haunting of the hill house”. But the twist here is that it has a different story. This season is inspired by the book, “The Turn of the Screw” by Henry James. The book is about 2 ghosts who have possessed the kid’s named Mike and Flora. The governess is trying to help the kids but will she able to save them battling against the ghost?

Release Date 

The series is expected to telecast this 2020 as the shooting was over on 23rd February 2020 confirmed by the director, “Mike Flanagan”. Sources claim that it might telecast at the end of October or by December. The audience is glad to hear that the global COVID situations did not take away their favorite horror series. 

The Storyline of The Haunting of the Bly Manor

The expected story of the haunting of Bly Manor according to the book: The story starts with two kids who are the responsibility of an unknown man who stays in London and owns the Bly Manor. The two kids are Mike and Flora. Mike stays is a boarding school and Flora the younger one stays in a  country house in Essex. Mike gets expelled from the school so he returns back and stays with Flora. The kids are taken care of by a younger governess who was appointed by the same unknown man. There was another former governess before but she is dead according to Douglas who knows this governess. 

The young governess takes care of the two kids with Mrs. Grose. She realizes that there’s something creepy about the house. Later she happens to see two ghosts so she asked Mrs. Grose who worked before. She gets information that two employees “Miss Jessel”, and “Peter Quint” worked before and were close with the kids before their death. The governess comes to the conclusion that she might be seeing them and the kids still talk to them. 

Later in the series, the kids get caught up by the two ghosts. Mrs. Grose saves Flora but when the Governess tries to stop the ghost and shield Mike, he is already dead on her lap. The story is bookended tragic but maybe the writer changes the end for the series.

How is the story connected?

“ Oliver Jackson-Cohen” confirmed on social media that he will be playing the character, “Peter Quint” and causing a lot of trouble for everyone in the series. He also played in the first series of “The Haunting of the Hill House” as the twin brother of “Victoria Pedretti”. I liked the “Twin thing” which was highlighted in the show. Let us see what this season has to bring!

The Cast of The Haunting of the Bly Manor

The original cast Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas, Catherine Parker., Victoria Pedretti, and Kate Siegel have confirmed to return to the show. The new cast T’Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Amelie Smith, and Amelia Eve will be premiered this year.  

As mentioned above peter will be played by “Oliver Jackson-Cohen”, Dani will be played by “Victoria Pedretti”, and Owen by Rahul Kolhi. The two kids, “Mike and Flora” will be played by Benjamin “Evan Ainsworth” and “Amelie Smith”.
