Lilly Singh Drops a Bomb Video On Social Issues : Reimagines Bollywood Hits!

YouTuber Lilly Singh is known for setting trends on the Internet. Her latest video called “If Bollywood Songs Were Rap”is a five-minute collection of 3 Bollywood songs as rap and the internet just went crazy over it. Lilly made this video in her signature style and she translated the lyrics. She used these songs as a tool to focus upon beauty standards set by society for women, body positivity, problems related to mental health, bisexuality and much more.

One of the songs in her video is Choli ke pichhe kya hai and While playing this song in the background, Lily Singh answered the question saying, ‘Tatas that need consent.’She also used the song All Is Well from 3 Idiots movie and clarified some points about mental health, body shaming, bisexuality and peer pressure. Ladki Aankh Maare is the third song in her video. In this song, Lilly was seen in a basketball court and talked about bisexuality. Superwoman’s video also features Indian singer Neha Kakkar.

She shared this video with the description, “I love Bollywood and I love rap music. So, I decided to let my worlds collide by turning some of my favourite songs into rap songs! And while I was at it, I thought, why not make them little motivational anthems that speak to causes close to my heart? I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! I can’t wait to perform these at #YTFF on Saturday in Mumbai.”

Lilly wore an orange coloured lehenga-choli in her video. At the end of the song, Lilly was seen in night suit and talks about all the issues she already mentioned in the video.

Lilly is known for addressing social issues. She uses her social media to express herself. A few months ago, Lilly shared that she is a bisexual.

Superwoman Lilly has 14 million YouTube followers and fans. She also wrote a best- selling book called How To Be A Bawse. Lilly Singh has now got her own late-night TV Show. She was on the top position of Forbes’ Top Influencers List in the entertainment category.
