Bollywood well-known singer Kanika Kapoor has been diagnosed with the virus. Reports say that she is among the four people who have tested positive for the virus today i.e Friday from Uttar Pradesh. It seems that the virus has now knocked the doors of Bollywood.
Kanika is a renowned personality in Bollywood. She gained fame after hits of songs like ‘ Baby Doll’, ‘ Beat pe Booty’, ‘ Chittiyan kalaiyan’ and other. This 41-year-old singer came back to Lucknow from London 10 days ago. But she had been experiencing the symptoms just 4 days ago. After being diagnosed she rushed to King George Medical University ( KGMU ) Lucknow and is currently been admitted there.
Her father Rajiv Kapoor spoke to Aaj Tak and said that she threw lavish parties to her family and friends after coming back to Lucknow. He also said that six of their family members are being tested today. He clarified that Kanika has been in contact with 350-400 people in these parties. Along with Kanika, they are also in isolation. Rumours say that she hid her travel details from authorities after returning back from London and dodged the medical tests at the airport.
During her stay in Lucknow, she stayed in Gallant apartment and now the medical team does not know any way to quarantine the whole apartment.
In her isolation, she contacted her fans and media through Instagram and said that she had flu so she had a check-up done and it confirmed that she is suffering from coronavirus from then she is been in complete isolation and the medical team is guiding them for the next step for the same. She also suggests everyone practice social distancing and to get tested if experience any symptom.
She clarified that she attended every safety measures at the airport and confirmed no symptoms of the virus. It is just four days ago that she started experiencing the symptoms. She also told that she is fine and has flu and mild fever. She urges everyone to be a responsible citizen and take care of oneself.
Several renowned Bollywood celebrities like Chunky Pandey, Ekta Kapoor wished her health and speedy recovery by commenting on her post.
