Irfan Pathan All Set to Enter Tamil Film Industry

Irfan to make a debut with Cobra, Co-stars Vikram, KS Ravikumar

Irfan Pathan had earlier posted photos from the shoot of the film. The photos were from Kolkata where the cricketer had to shoot for the movie scene.  Vikram starrer “Cobra” will be seen as an acting debut for the former cricketer Irfan Pathan. He is expected to be playing the role of French Interpol Officer Aslan Yilmaz in this movie. The surprising news was shared by the Indian director R. Ajay Gnanamuthu on the occasion of Irfan’s birthday. He shared a poster of Irfan Khan starring in “Cobra” and wished him all the best. The director also mentioned that Irfan Pathan is a warm and caring person and he was delighted to have worked with him. This news has resulted in the increasing excitement for Irfan Khan’s fans as well as many other fans waiting for Vikram’s role in the movie.

Earlier, it was planned to release “Cobra” during the summer this year. However, the shooting in Russia had to be stopped due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The director R. Ajay Gnanamuthu also shared this news through his Twitter. He mentioned that the shooting had to be stopped due to the travel ban rules by the Indian Government.  The team had to fly back to India in March after such a scenario. The remaining shoot of Russia location will now be shot in the location of Chennai.

Alongside Irfan, the film also features Vikram, who is expected to be playing more than 20 roles in this movie, Kanika, Srinidhi Shetty, KS Ravikumar, Mrinalini, Padmapriya and Babu Antony. Now, the film is expected to wrap its shooting till the year-end. So, we are not expecting the release of “Cobra” in the coming days. It seems that the fans need to wait longer in order to see the Indian former cricketer and commentator playing the role of Aslan Yilmaz.
