Nepotism is the burning topic when Bollywood is taken into account. If you don’t know what Nepotism is then in simple words. She recently received an award called Women of Worth (WOW) which is given by Outlook Business to women who are outshining in various fields. When she was asked about nepotism and being a star kid, she said, “Nepotism exists in every field. If you know somebody from a certain field, you will always help them.
Having said that, I am so in love with acting and being an actor, I would be devastated if I never got the opportunity. I am in no place to sit and say that they don’t know what they are talking about. How can you say that? Of course, it feels terrible if someone else is getting an opportunity because of their family.
So, there is no way to counter that thought. It does exist but having said that, once you come in the foray, so to speak, the audience chooses you. So, if you are working, it is not as if you are getting lucky every time. There does go some hard work into that. As I said, there are no negative thoughts. I can’t wake up and say sorry for being born in this family. But I can definitely say that I will work as hard as possible to prove that I deserve to be here”

Any award show is always a star-studded affair. One such award shows, The Star Screen Awards was held in Mumbai on 6th December. Many celebrities were present including Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Siddhant Chaturvedi Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam, Ananya Panday, and many others.
Zoya Akhtar’s musical drama Gully Boy and Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15 received maximum awards for different categories. Novice actor Prem Chopra, who is famous for his iconic heinous roles, was given the Lifetime Achievement Star Screen Award.

As her influence grows at the same pace and scale of YouTube, so will that of the brands she endorses.”

The bad days have been many… Post chemo, post-surgery and the like… where even just laughing hurts. Sometimes it felt like it took everything I’ve had to push past it… a minute to minute battle with myself. I got through it knowing that even though I was fighting a long drawn out, draining battle… it was one that was worth the fight. It’s important to remember that we’re allowed to have those bad days. Forcing yourself to be happy and cheerful all the time serves no purpose. Who are we being fake and putting on an act for? I allowed myself to cry, to feel the pain, to indulge in self-pity… for a short while. Only you know what you’re going through and it is fine to accept it. Emotions aren’t wrong. Feeling negative emotions isn’t wrong. But after a point, identify it, recognize it and refuse to let it control your life. It takes an immense amount of self-care to get out of that zone. Sleep always helps, or having my favourite smoothie after chemo, or just talking to my son. For now, as my treatment continues… my visual focus remains to just get better and get back home. Since last few months, Alia is suffering from anxiety and nervousness. She told, “No matter how bad it is, I just let myself feel it. Sometimes, I feel like crying for no reason. Then it passes. Initially, I’d be a little confused. I’d constantly give reasons that it’s because of work or maybe I’m tired or haven’t been able to meet anyone… The kind of personality I have, I become a little on the edge. I spoke to friends about it. I spoke to Ayan about it, I spoke to my sister’s friend Rohan Joshi. Everyone told me that you’ve got to realise that it will go away. What’s important is to accept it and not say that you’re fine. If you’re not feeling fine, then you should just say you’re not feeling fine.”
On the work front, Alia is very busy promoting her upcoming film Kalank. Her team had a radio day on 5th April at the radio station. She performed there live on Ghar More Pardesiya Song. Ranbir Kapoor is spending time with his family as his father Rishi Kapoor is struggling with health problems.
