Arnold Schwarzenegger Says “I’m back” In First Tweet After The Surgery

Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to Social media for the first time since he underwent heart surgery. The 70-year-old actor tweeted, “I’m back.”

Terminator actor underwent scheduled surgery for replacement of a valve on Thursday. He took to Twitter and shared, “It’s true: I’m back!”

The former California governor also thanked his doctor and nurses of the Los Angeles hospital and also thanked fans for their best wishes.

Arnold tweeted, “It’s true: I’m back! I went to sleep expecting to wake up with a small incision and woke up with a big one – but guess what? I woke up, and that’s something to be thankful for. Thank you to the doctors & nurses. And I’m truly filled with gratitude for all of the kind messages.”

Over the weekend, his spokesperson Daniel Ketchell had said that an open-heart surgery team was prepared if the scheduled procedure could not be performed or had any complications. The actor gave quite a scare to the fans when he underwent surgery on Thursday, but everything is fine now. The latest tweet of Arnold defiantly shows that the actor is in good spirits.

The pulmonic valve was originally installed way back in 1997 for a congenital heart defect. It had to be replaced now.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most popular Hollywood action stars, who has given countless memorable performances. Before making his career in Hollywood, he was a bodybuilder and had won several awards. He also served as governor of California from 2003 to 2011.
