Yet, the toast of the night was ostensibly the group behind “Whole Gems”: Directors Josh and Benny Safdie and their star Adam Sandler, drawing acclaim from any semblance of Pitt and Drew Barrymore, who gave Sandler his best on-screen character trophy.
Indeed, even Sandler, who got one of the night’s couples of overwhelming applauses, may concede he was astonished to bring home an acting rule from an honors service that is not the Razzies.
