Kesari Review and Day 1 Collection : Movie Made Holi ‘Kesari’ With Bravery and Nationalism!

Most awaited period drama of March 2019, Kesari finally released on Holi and made 21.50 crore at box office. Anurag Singh’s directorial film Kesari stars Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra. Kesari has become Akshay Kumar’s second biggest opener after Gold. Gold made Rs 25.25 crore on its first day. Kesari has crossed the opening business of films like Gully Boy, Total Dhamaal and Captain Marvel. This movie is co-produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, Azure Entertainment and Zee Studios. It released on almost 4,200 screens across the world, including 3,200 screens in India alone. Kesari is one of the costliest films in India.

When the trailer of the Kesari released, it just amazed all the audience and now the movie left everyone awestruck. The movie is based on the Battle of Saragarh. Akshay Kumar played the role of Havildar Ishar Singh.  He was a faithful servant of the British and an honourable and courageous man. He fought the battle along with his battalion of 20 soldiers, against braves the army of 10,000 invaders. The film is an epic action extravaganza. The writers have written each and every line so nicely that your heart will fill with pride and eyes will fill with tears when you hear some dialogues.  Director Anurag Singh made sure to make every scene count with proper direction.

When talking about the speed of the movie, the first half of the film is too long. It builds only one character up that is obviously Akshay Kumar’s Ishar Singh. Filmmakers have wasted more than an hour to build a character. So, that way it tests your patience.

But the second half of the movie is very interesting and spectacular. It shows the actual battle. The action direction is done very well.

The cinematography is executed nicely but some bad CGI  effects can be clearly seen during the blasts scenes. Some stabbing scenes look unreal but that’s okay.

Akshay Kumar’s Wife Twinkle Khanna admired the movie with a tweet.

The film is actually one-man show as Akshay Kumar put his heart and soul in this performance. Parineeti Chopra is there in a small role of the love interest of Akshay Kumar. She has done her part well.
