The film is the adaption of a book with the same name by Agatha Christie. The book is rated 4.1 on Goodreads with people talking about the unexpected plot. Talking about the surprising plot, it’s a murder mystery as the name suggests Death on the Nile. But who is murdered? Keep reading to find out! 

Release Date: Death on the Nile

The film is releasing in united states on 23rd October 2020. The trailer was out on 19th August 2020, readers have already shown the excitement about the film. One of the users commented, “I got shivers all over, can’t wait for its release.” 

Cast: Death on the Nile

Gal Gadot plays the lead role as Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle, who is rich and beautiful. The male lead pairing along with her is Armie Hammer as Simon Doyle. Linnet’s friend, Jacqueline de Bellefort, will be played by Emma Mackey. Hercule Poirot is the detective investigating the murder. The role will be played by Kenneth Branagh, who appeared “Murder on the Orient Express” with the same character—solving the death on the Orient Express. It looks like they promoted his role from Express to an astonishing french cruise. 

Other casts include Tom Bateman as Bouc, Annette Bening as Euphemia, Rose Leslie as Louise Bourget, Jennifer Saunders as Marie Van Schuyler and more will be playing a part in the film. 

Plot: Death on the Nile

The film is about a murder mystery and the person murdered on the Nile is not yet revealed. But I can just say one thing, that what you are guessing is probably right. The story will start in 1937 during the time of great depression. Linnet is a wealthy, smart and beautiful woman who gets all she wants. Jacqueline, on the other side, was one of the richest; however, due to great depression, they started losing money.  The only thing left in her life is Simon Doyle, who is Jacqueline’s love of life. 

Simon is currently looking for job and Linnet just bright a mansion. So Jacqueline asks Linnet to appoint Simon as the manager of the estate. Linnet agrees to her best friend’s wishes and makes Simon the manager. However, Linnet and Simon fall in love and get married just in a month. It makes Jacqueline jealous, and she decides to follow them wherever they travel. However one day Linnet decides to board from Nile streamer S.S Karnak. It is a French Passenger ship, wherein Linnet invited people in her relations and just famous faces as linnet was one of the renowned face herself.

Everything was going well until there was a murder which drawn the attention of all the passengers. The people acquainted with Linnet became the prime suspects of the crime scene. Still didn’t understand? Someone murdered Linnet. There will be no clue who might be the killer as I dont want to ruin the film for you. The murderers have no idea that Hercules Poirot will be present on the ship. As he is one of the detectives, so he took the case to find out who killed Linnet. For many who dont know this character, he also appeared in “Murder on the Orient Express.” He solved the murder mystery of Ratchett. He is back with the bash! There were many suspects as maids, relatives, husband and best friend everyone was on the cruise. Anyone could have done it, even the close ones as betrayal come from someone you least expect.  Louise Bourget, Andrew Katchadourian, Mrs Bowers, Marie Van Schuyler, Salome Otterbourne, Rosalie Otterbourne, Dr Bessner were held responsible as the prime suspects. As the case moves forward, one of them knows who the killer is but doesn’t reveal being greedy for money. 

The detective has a risk of losing his life because he interferes in the case. The murderers wiped off all the evidence like the handkerchief of bloodstains, ashtrays and the gun. So who killed Linnet? Did Jacqueline shoot Linnet out of jealousy? Maria who liked the wealth Linnet carried? It could be anyone as Linnet was a vibrant personality.
