Plot: Coven of Sisters
The setting is of Basque during the time of the Spanish Inquisition in 1609. At that time, life was a nightmare for the women of the country. The girls and women were accused to be witches and burnt alive while tied on stakes.
The story begins when the men of the village venture to the sea, and all the females dance in the forest in the night-time making them all suspects of witchcraft.
We follow the girls trying to survive till the men come back from the sea. While the King wants the area to be free from witches. Will the girls survive till the end?
It looks like most of the time women face issues in society. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that men lead an easy life, it’s just a reference to the plot. Keeping it on halt, I bet you would be interested in the sequel to Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story.
