Bharat Movie Review : Day 1 went well for the film.

All the fans of Salman Khan were waiting for 5th June, that is for the release of one of his most awaited film Bharat which stars Salman Khan alongside Katrina Kaif. As expected, the film got a pretty good response from all the fans. As it was a holiday of Eid on June 5th, many people went to see the movie.

Bharat has opened to over 60 per cent opening in the early morning shows and has been received well by the critics. The percentage of advance booking for the first day was HUGE and it surely made the grand Eid opening. Bharat has released on over 4500 screens in India and is the biggest ever release in UAE too. As Salman Khan has a huge fanbase, it was predicted that the film will collect 30-40 crores on day 1.

Bharat

Bharat is a story of a little boy with almost non- existent childhood, who is forced to grow up and take responsibilities early. He always puts his family before anything else, even before him. The film shows the life journey of that boy with several ups and downs.

The film Bharat is an official adaptation of South Korean drama ‘Ode to my Father’. The film concentrates on various choices the hero has to make with time. Separated from his father and sister during the Indo-Pak partition in 1947 as a child, Bharat decides to give his entire life to keeping the promise he’d made to his missing father.

Katrina has played the feisty role of Kumud who is a brave and honest girl. She makes the first move on Salman by saying, “I love you. Shaadi ki umra ho gayi hai meri. Tumse shaadi karna chahti hoon.” Katrina’s hairstyle is shown differently in Bharat than all the other films she has done. The chemistry between Salman and Katrina is always good and so is in Bharat.

Sunil Grover has played the character of Vilayati, best friend of Bharat. Sonali Kulkarni and Jackie Shroff have done a very well job as always. Ali’s writing actually stands out at some places in the movie.

Bharat is a well-intentioned movie with entertaining purpose. Some scenes are actually unbelievable but it is afterall Salman Bhai’s movie.

We would give 3.5/5 stars to this movie.
