Ajay Devgn on His 1st and 100th Film : ” The anxiety remains the same”

Ajay Devgn is all set for his 100th film “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” in which he is playing the lead role. Ajay feels the anxiety remains the same even if it’s his 100th film. He says that remove the two zeros after one as his 100th film gives him the same anxiety as his first.

When asked about the film title, he said, “We had probably read just two paragraphs about Tanhaji Malusare in history books. I am sure many in Bengal do not know about him. That is why the tag ‘unsung warrior’ is a part of the film’s title.” He feels that there are many unsung heroes in history whose story is not known to the world and it is important to tell.

Ajay wants to do many more biopics like this on the lives of many unsung heroes and as per him, Tanaji is just a beginning of this series.

Saif Ali Khan will be seen in this film along with Ajay Devgn who his playing his bete noire Uday Bhan in the film. Ajay feels that Saif is the best choice made for this role. They have already done two films together namely  ‘Kachche Dhaage’ and ‘Omkara’. He also regrets the fact that they have done only two films together.

Ajay’s real-life wife Kajol is paired opposite him in the film and to both of them “ It felt like home”

When asked about the preparation of the film, Ajay said that it was important to understand the mindset of the warrior before playing him on-screen. He was also asked about the threat by a politician, who claimed that Ajay’s latest outing distorted history, Ajay said that one should not make such comments without watching the film. Ajay feels some events need to be made in the form of drama to link two different incidents when they have happened separately and no link between them is given.

Ajay Devgn has completed 30 years in this industry, and he is on 100th film of his career. This film is releasing on Jan 10, 2020.
