Till now, the central board has made two important announcements regarding 2021 board exams, the announcements said- examination will not start in January or February, and they will be held as physical mode and not as online examinations.

There have been appeals for the board to conduct the exam letter than usual to give students time for some offline teaching-learning interaction with their teachers in school before appearing for the final examinations. The idea of conducting online exams has been dropped as it becomes an issue of mental stress and panic attack.

The Delhi government- which runs government schools affiliated to the CBSE instead of a state board – had appealed to the central government that the board exams not be conducted before May 2021 to give students “reasonable time to study in schools”.

Earlier, CBSE Board had reduced the 30% syllabus of the board exam. This step was taken in the view of the current crisis of global pandemic- COVID-19 that adversely impacting the lifestyle of people and the usual study schedule and patterns. On-demand of students to postpone the CBSE board examination, education minister took cognizance over the exam dates and ensures that the exam will be conducted after February.
