Stock and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on Monday invited applicants for an internship program in its Information Technology Department (ITD). Students would get an opportunity to work on data and analytics
SEBI’s IT Department works intensively to maintain and improve the IT infrastructure, system and service in the regulator.
SEBI’s internship in the IT department is open for those students who are pursuing MBA/MCA from UGC recognized universities which offers an AICTE approved full-time MBA or MCA or equivalent degree or diploma of duration of two years.
As per the notification, the intern will be given a monthly stipend of up to Rs. 30,000. However, those who undergoing an internship at SEBI for 3 days in a week would be given monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000, while those who choose to work 4 days in a week would be paid Rs. 30,000 per month.
Under this internship program, interns will be given the responsibility to work on different IT projects and maintain consistency in Data analysis. They also have to maintain the regulatory business process and reporting, and FinTech at SEBI.
Number of Internship and Last Date:
“In its notice, SEBI clarified that there are total of 10 internships for the duration of 1 year in a view of providing hands-on-training to the students of recognized institutions in its information department for working on data analytics and regulatory business process.”
The last date to apply for the SEBI IT department internship is April 10, 2021. Interested candidates can apply for the internship on or before the last date to participate in SEBI internship programs and partner with them to boost their careers.
Internship Duration:
The internship program is for a minimum period of 1 year which may comprise of either 2 semesters and 1 summer/winter internship period or 3 trimesters and 1 summer/winter internship period.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates are advised to cross-check eligibility criteria before apply for the internship.
- A students must pursuing full-time MBA/MCA or diploma or equivalent degree from the recognized university/institution/college
- Having minimum of 60 % marks in graduation
- Candidates should be a citizen of India
- Having a full-time Graduates Degree in Engineering or BCA
- Having a strong knowledge of computer programming and data analytics. A basic understanding of the financial sector, financial terms, and financial market – not mandatory.
- The candidate’s age should not be more than 30 year as on 1/1/2021.
