PM Narendra Modi pays tribute to Swami Vivekananda On His Birth Anniversary; Every Year January 12, Celebrated As National Youth Day.

Modi addressed the Valedictory Function of Second National Youth Parliament Festival today. He remembered swami Vivekananda and urged students ‘let us spread Swami Vivekananda’s dynamic thoughts.

India celebrates ‘Youth Day’ on the occasion of the birth anniversary of youth icon ‘Swami Vivekananda’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a huge tribute to the legend personality on his birth anniversary. Every year from 12 January to 16 January is celebrated as National Youth Festival to encourage and honour the students.

He addressed via video conferencing along with prime minister, Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishankh’ were also present at the event.

PM Modi Tweeted an inspiring quote of Swami Vivekananda, ‘I have faith in my country and especially in the youth of my country”. Narendra Modi posted, 12 January is a very special day. We pay homage to Swami Vivekananda and mark national youth day as a tribute to India’s Yuva Shakti.

Today, PM Modi also addressed the Valedictory Program of the National Youth Parliament Festival (NYPF). It was Swami Vivekananda’s 1893 speech at the world’s parliament of religions in Chicago that took India’s culture and heritage far and wide and made him popular as the “Messenger of Indian wisdom to the western world”.

He encouraged youth and said, let us spread Swami Vivekananda’s dynamic thoughts and ideals far and wide, inspired by the great ideas of Swami Vivekananda and his vision for youth empowerment, the national youth parliament festival gives a platform to India’s youth to showcase their skill. Every youth must follow the thought of Swami Vivekananda as his vision and idea toward life lead a true successful and content life. It also furthers the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ among youngsters.

Youths of India have an ability to take India’s pride to the global stage, just need to focus on humanity, empowerment, dedication and perspectives.
