NEET 2020 Counselling Round-2 Rescheduled, Check Here Changed Date

MCC has postponed the NEET 2020 counselling round 2 of UG. As per the official notification, counselling will begin on November 20, 2020.

NEET Counselling 2020 Round 2: The second round of counselling for admission to medical college will begin at the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in on November 20.

Registration link for second round counselling of NEET 2020 admission to start from November 18 to November 22, 2020, till 3 pm. The candidates who have not secured a seat in the first round of NEET 2020 counselling can register for the second round.

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has postponed the round 2 NEET UG Counselling 2020. Earlier, the schedule was made to start counselling for second round on November 18, 2020, but due to seats reserved for Wards of Insured Person (IP Quota) is being added in the seat matrix of round 2, it has been postponed.

As per the revised reschedule the counselling for the second round will start on November 20, 2020. Candidates can go to the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in to check and download the round 2 NEET 2020 new schedule.

 

The authority issued the official notification on today, Wednesday reads, “it is for the information to all candidates who have cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) but could not secure the seat in first-round and Institute Participating in Undergraduate program counselling 2020, that round-2 of NEET Counselling which was earlier scheduled to begin on November 18, 2020, has been postponed by 2 days and as per the new schedule published by MCC, counselling will start for the same on November 20, 2020 due to IP Quota being added in the seat matrix of second-round and resultant revision of seat matrix.”

The notice further added that it is notified that the seat surrender facility for surrender of round-1 seats has been reopened and the facility will be available till 5 pm on November 19, 2020.

 

Required Document: At the time of document verification which will be held after the registration and seat allotment process, candidates must carry the following documents-

  1. Certificate of class 10th and 12th along with mark sheet or score-card
  2. 8 passport size photograph
  3. Allotment letter issued by MCC
  4. Admit card
  5. Date of birth certificate
  6. Identity proof
  7. Result issued by the NTA

In the seat allotment process, candidates will have to fill the ‘Choice Filling Option’ in which candidates have to choose the course and college as per their preferences. The seat allotment process will proceed thereafter and then the result of seat allotment will be released.

 

Candidates are advised to keep their original documents as well. After the declaration of the final result, students need to report respective colleges or institutes. In case of not getting a seat in the second round there will be a mop-up round and registration will be started from December 10 to December 14, 2020.
