MCC NEET UG 2023: Result, Seat Allotment, and Related News

MCC, aka, Medical Counselling Committee published the results of their National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) on 27th September 2023. Students who appeared for the examination can now check their results on the official website of MCC, mcc.nic.in.

 

Past few years, the number of candidates appearing for the entrance exam has grown subsequently. Almost over 16 lakh students appeared for the 2021 NEET entrance, and the following year the number hiked to 18 lakhs. With limited seats and an increasing number of candidates, the competition for the colleges is getting ruthless. This year the entrance examinations for NEET were conducted by NTA. And, according to the NTA, this year over 20 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET-UG exam. This is the highest number of candidates that ever appeared for the examination.

However, there are some details that you need to know regarding seat allocation and counseling. For example, students need to carry a copy of their allotment letter from the official website to their allocated colleges for MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, or other undergraduate medical courses.

Steps to Allotment Result Downloading:

You need to have a copy of your result with you at the time of counseling. You will need to provide it as proof of you passing the NEET-UG to the university you report to. To make this easier and non-confusing, here is a rundown for you to download your allotment result copy in a PDF format:

  1. The first step is to go to the official website of the MCC, mcc.nit.in.
  2. You will notice a link for downloading your allotment result, click on it.
  3. A PDF version of your allotment result will come up on your screen.
  4. Make sure that you go through every detail in there and don’t miss out on any possible discrepancy.
  5. After that, just click on the “Download as PDF” button and save it on your device.

You will find the following mentioned details to get your result: Serial Number, Allotted Quota, Course Name, Allotted Institute, Allotted Category, Category of the Candidate, Rank, and Remarks.

NEET-UG Reporting:

Now that you have got your allotment ticket, it’s time to report to your respective university or college. With the stray vacancy result, you need to report to your college by 30 September 2023, at the latest. After that, you might lose your seat. And there you have your seat in the allocated college under the MBBS or BDS programme.

 

Now, as the results are out, the MCC will conduct counseling for AIQ, aka, All India Quota seats. However, there might be another round of allotment if there are some other vacant seats after this round of counseling.
