
SBI is the top bank of India in terms of market capitalisation and customer base. It is the dream of every bank aspirant to work under this bank. SBI invites applications under two posts viz SBI PO and SBI Clerk via annual recruitments.
State Bank of India has invited applications for various vacancies under the SBI Clerk 2020. The students who aspire to work with the biggest bank of India had successfully filled the form. SBI has successfully commenced the preliminary exams in the month of February- March 2020. But citing Coronavirus, there has been a delay in the further process of the recruitment.
SBI Clerk 2020 Delayed
Post the coronavirus attack, there has been anxiety among the students regarding the preliminary exams result and the mains exam. The students were awaiting an announcement from the bank regarding the ongoing recruitment. The bank has, therefore, released an official press release about the future process for the recruitment. The notice reads that until the impact of COVID-19 is lessened, the results and the Mains exam stands deferred.

SBI Clerk Preliminary Result
According to the notice, the preliminary result of the SBI Clerk 2020 has also been delayed. This has created panic among the students, who have appeared for the exam. The only choice students are left is to continue their preparations for the mains.
SBI Exam pattern
Phase 1- Preliminary Exam
This is the first stage of the recruitment process it is a 1-hour exam comprising of 3 subjects. There are prescribed sectional timing for each subject and a total of 100 questions are asked at this level.

Level 2- Mains Exam
The candidates who will be successful in clearing the cut-off of pre-exam will be called for the mains exam. The mains exam is slightly difficult in terms of level as compared to the preliminary exam.

SBI Clerk Final Selection
The final selection in the SBI Clerk is based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the Mains exam. The students have to obtain the minimum cut-off that has been decided by the bank state wise. The cut-off is depended on the number of vacancies, the number of students who appeared for the exam.
SBI Clerk 2020 Pay-scale
The candidates who are selected in the clerical cadre fall under the basic pay of ₹13,075 which is exclusive of the DA and other allowances. The in-hand salary of an SBI clerk falls in the range of 25,000 to 30,000.
