When it comes to the God of Banking for India, it is always the RBI. Millions of students aspire to work with the Central Bank of India. The major reason why people want to join RBI is the respect they get and low work pressure. Although RBI does not recruit much through open recruitment considering less number of offices. Yet it released two notices for open market recruitment, RBI Grade B officers and RBI Assistant 2020.
This year RBI has released the vacancies for the year 2020, after a gap of 2 years. The last recruitment for the post of the assistant was done in the year 2017. This year it has invited applications for 926 vacancies.

RBI Assistant Delayed Notice
RBI released its notice for RBI Assistant 2020 in the month of December 2019. The Preliminary exam was conducted in February 2020. Post, the exam the result was released for the preliminary exam. The Assistant mains was scheduled for March 2020 but it was deferred until further notice citing corona pandemic. The head office released an official notice on its official website about the delay of the mains exam. The notice reads that until the impact of COVID-19 is lessened, the results and the Mains exam stands deferred.

RBI Assistant Prelims result
The RBI Assistant prelims were conducted on 14th and 15th February 2020 in a total of 8 shifts. The preliminary exam was conducted for a period of 1 hour and 3 main subjects were asked. The official results were announced on 3rd
RBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern
The candidates who will be successful in clearing the cut-off of pre-exam will be called for the mains exam. The mains exam is slightly difficult in terms of level as compared to the preliminary exam.

RBI Clerk Final Selection
The final selection in the RBI Assistant is based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the Mains exam. The students have to obtain the minimum cut-off that has been decided by the bank zone wise. The cut-off is depended on the number of vacancies, the number of students who appeared for the exam. Citing less number of vacancies and more number of students appearing, the cut-off goes miserably high in most of the states
