JEST 2020: PhD Entrance Exam Dates 2020
JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test) offer admissions to PhD and Integrated PhD courses of the year 2020 that have been extended until 21 December 2019 (Saturday). The entrance examination is conducted by IGCAR, Chennai and will be conducted on 16 February 2020 (Sunday).
JEST is considered to be a National Eligibility Test (NET) by SERB (Science & Engineering Research Board). JEST exam is given by aspirants who are seeking admission in PhD or Integrated PhD programmes in Physics or Neuroscience or Theoretical Computer Science or Computational Biology.

Important Points To Keep In Mind For JEST 2020
- The JEST score validity is one year and one can appear for it any number of times.
- Without the hall ticket and admit card, the applicant will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
- The eligibility criteria for PhD courses are different from one institute to another. The applicant can check the individual criteria for every institute.
- The applicant can apply for JEST examination in Theoretical Computer Science or Physics but not for both.

The steps to how to apply for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is stated below:
- The applicant shall enter email Id and password to register on the official website of JEST.

2. The applicant will receive a confirmation link on their registered email ID. Click the link to confirm.
3. Fill the necessary details carefully.
4. Upload the scanned photograph and signature in jpg format.
5. Submit the application fee by clicking on ‘Fee Payment’ which can be submitted through online Debit or Credit card or Net banking payment gateway.
