The students who have qualified JEE Advances 2020 have a great opportunity to study in IIT Delhi; IIT Delhi has launched a new undergraduate program ‘BTech’ in Engineering and Computational Mechanics

By Swati Mishra

The students qualifying JEE Advances 2020 will be offered a new undergraduate option by IIT Delhi as IIT Delhi has decided to launch a new course on BTech in Engineering and Computational Mechanics’. This undergraduate program will be run by the Department of Applied Mechanics from the academic session 2020-21.

Department of Applied Mechanics of IIT Delhi is known as the best faculty member and it has a record of having some of the best teachers, and professors have won the excellence in teaching award started by the institute in 2012.

This program has been designed to provide the best job opportunity for students and enhance their careers in the field of Technology as well as mechanics. This program can open the door of hope for many students who want to see themselves at the top engineering industry.

The highlight of the new IIT Delhi program: what institution says?

“The graduates of this program are probably to find the best jobs in core engineering and will also be very apt candidates for higher studies like Masters and PhD in IIT Delhi as well as other leading national and international educational institutes”, said Professor Sanjeev Sanghi, HoD, and Applied Mechanics.

Sanjeev Sanghi also added, “Design, analysis, and research job in the sector of Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Shipping, and Bio-medical devices, off-shore structures, etc. will be welcome to students doing this program, which has been designed based on consultation with industry”.

While studying this course, students will be taught how to deal with the complex interdisciplinary phenomena relevant to the problem in the industry and cutting-edge research through experimentation, analyze, and computation. Students will be able to analysis the problem-related issue.

Features of New IIT Delhi Program:

  • Provided depth knowledge of fundamental engineering questions
  • Trend students to analyze the computational techniques and experiment
  • Provide strong guidelines in the core of engineering mechanics along with the tools to address areas such as Biomechanics, Nanomechanics, Constitutive Modeling at Multiple Length and Time Scales, Parallel Processing for Mechanics Problems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
  • It enhances the job orientated platform for students with advanced training programs.

In this program, students will be exercised with theoretical and practical based classroom feature beside this the latest in computational techniques including Finite Element Method (FEM), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
