IIT JEE Advanced 2020: Exam pattern, Question format, and Previous year cut off

JEE Advanced 2020 is a computer-based exam; it consists of 2 papers, paper 1 and paper 2 of 3 hours duration each. Both these papers are compulsory and IITs have not fixed a pattern for these papers. The conducting IIT always surprises students taking the exam.

JEE Advanced exam pattern 2020 has been released by IIT Delhi in online mode. Details on how the entrance test will be held, types of questions, and format of paper and more are present here.

The exam will be a computer-based test and will consist of two papers- paper 1 and paper 2. Questioned asked in JEE Advanced 2020 generally include multiple-choice questions with the single answer; questions with multiple answers, numeric value question along with list match sets. The marking scheme in JEE Advance is based on the concept of full, partial, and zero. So there is a negative marking too. JEE advanced cut off is two types, qualifying and the admission cutoff. IIT Delhi has released the JEE Advanced 2020 qualifying cutoff in the official brochure, the final cutoff will be released after the allotment of seat. The minimum scoring marks are called qualifying marks. The student who clears the qualifying cutoff is listed in the rank and considered to be called by IITs but for the final admission, candidates have clear the JEE Advanced cutoff.

Cutoffs are based on several metrics like difficulty level of the exam, number students and allotments of seats, etc.
